How are mentors verified?
Every mentor is verified before going live: university students with enrolment proof and student ID, exam mentors with their scorecards, professionals with work history. The badge on a profile names exactly what was checked.
How is MentorSheep different from an agency or a coaching institute?
They sell process, a flat fee to push you through a pipeline. We sell perspective, 30 focused minutes with someone who has already done what you're attempting, so you decide your own moves with first-hand context. Use us alongside them, or instead of them.
What does a typical session cover?
You set the agenda. Applicants bring SOPs and shortlists, exam aspirants bring strategy and doubts, career-switchers bring resumes and interview prep. Send context ahead of time and your mentor comes prepared: no warm-up, straight to your questions.
Which languages can sessions be conducted in?
English by default, plus dozens of regional languages spoken by mentors on the platform: Hindi, Mandarin, Spanish, Marathi, Tamil, Bengali, Arabic, French, and many more. Filter by language on the Find-a-Mentor page so you can speak in whatever you think clearest in.
What happens if a session doesn't meet expectations?
Flag it through your dashboard within 24 hours. Our team reviews every report and, if something was genuinely off, no-show, mismatched expertise, poor connection, you get a full refund to your original payment. No forms, no negotiation.
Can I work with the same mentor over time?
Yes, and most students do. A typical journey runs from the first draft or mock test to the final decision: all with the same mentor who already knows your story. Continuity is the point — and mentors can even offer you a returning-student discount when you book them again.
